When setting up your profile, the identification information you provide depends on whether you are a South African national or a foreign national.
For South African Nationals
-
You are required to select SA ID as your identification type and then enter your South African ID number.
-
Udok automatically validates your ID number to ensure it is legitimate.
-
From your ID number, the system automatically extracts and populates:
- Date of Birth
- Gender
-
Because of this, you will not be able to manually add your date of birth or gender, as it will be pre-populated for you.
-
It is important to ensure that you have captured your ID correctly otherwise it will not be verified.
For Foreign Nationals
If you are not a South African national, you'll need to follow a different process:
- Select your Passport as your ID Type.
- Select your nationality from the nationality drop-down.
- Enter your passport number.
- Manually add your date of birth and gender.
Key Notes
- South Africans: Enter ID number only - date of birth and gender are derived automatically.
- Foreign nationals: Provide nationality, passport number, date of birth, and gender manually.
