For Practices

Augment your practice. Without changing your practice.

Udok gives general practitioners, specialists, and the broader healthcare profession the platform to offer virtual and in-person consults under your own brand. Compress the admin. Augment the medicine.

Available to GPs and specialists in private practice. New practices welcome.

The next generation of practice is one you decide how to run.

The future of general practice is not in-person or virtual. It is in-person and virtual, with the doctor deciding which encounter each patient needs. Most consults do not need a room. Some do. The doctor knows the difference.

Udok is built on a simple working rule. Compress what sucks. Augment what matters. Compress: admin, paperwork, repeat-script chasing, appointment hunting, the friction that keeps you away from the medicine. Augment: time with patients, quality of diagnosis, accessibility of care, the continuity of the relationship over time.

We give you the technology to decide when to speak and when to be in person.

If you practice medicine, this was built for you.

Udok was built first for general practitioners. The platform now serves the broader profession.

Hybrid consults plus practice management. Your brand. Your patients.

Two products that work together. White-labelled to your practice. You own the relationship with your patient. Udok runs underneath.

Product 01

Hybrid consult platform.

Voice, video, chat and in-person consults. Branded to your practice. Your patients book through your channels and consult with you. Udok provides the technology. You provide the medicine.

Product 02

Practice management.

Electronic medical records, smart patient queuing, prescriptions, lab and pathology integration, billing & payments as well as the day-to-day infrastructure of running a modern practice. Connected across consults so that the second visit carries the context of the first.

Open 24 hours, 365 days. As far as you want to be.

The platform runs around the clock, every day of the year. Your virtual practice opens whenever you choose to open it. Set your own hours. Set your own availability. The infrastructure does not sleep.

More medicine. Less admin. Better continuity.

Augmentation is not a productivity hack. It is a structural shift in how your practice runs. Three things move at the same time:

More consults per doctor per day.

Virtual consults are shorter than in-person ones for the encounters that do not need a room. The doctor sees more patients in the same hours without sacrificing the quality of any one consult.

Less administrative load.

Medical history, medications, and patient records all live in one place. The admin that usually eats into clinical time gets compressed into the workflow.

Better patient continuity.

Every patient’s history follows them. When they consult again, with you or a colleague at your practice, the context is already there. The patient does not start over. The doctor does not start from a blank page.

How it works in practice.

Three views of the same platform: the doctor's, the patient's, and the underlying infrastructure that connects them.

  1. For the doctor.

Open your virtual practice when you choose to. Patients book consults through your branded experience. You consult by voice, video, or chat. Scripts are sent. Notes are saved. The platform does the admin while you focus on the medicine. Schedule blocks how you want them: morning rounds, evening clinic, weekends, public holidays. You decide.

  2. For the patient.

They book with you, through your brand. They consult with you, not with a stranger. They get their scripts and medical documents straight after. If they need to be seen in person, you tell them. The trust they have in your practice extends naturally into the virtual side. They do not feel like they have been handed off to a service.

  3. Underneath both.

Electronic medical records. Smart patient queuing. Prescription delivery integrations. Lab and pathology partner connections. Payment processing including card, medical aid, voucher redemption, and retail payment channels. POPIA-compliant data handling. HPCSA-aligned workflows. The infrastructure of a modern practice, ready to go.

Today augments your practice. Tomorrow grows it.

Udok is building toward a connected care ecosystem in South Africa. Today, the platform compresses the admin and augments the medicine inside your practice. As the platform grows, three product progressions will open up. Each one is on the roadmap. Each one is reserved for the practices already on the platform when it goes live.

Progression 01

Featured doctors.

Your practice and your doctors gain consumer-side visibility on the Udok brand without losing your own. A presence mechanic, not a marketplace. Practices that opt in commit to the R365 consumer consult price. The brand promise holds regardless of which practice a patient consults with.

Progression 02

Connected care discovery.

Patients in your area can discover your practice and book virtual or in-person consults with you directly. The platform becomes a real acquisition channel for new patients, on top of the augmentation you already get from existing patients.

Progression 03

Specialist access.

Specialists already use Udok to augment their existing practices today. As more specialists join, the consumer side will open to specialist discovery and consultation. Specialist referrals from GPs on the platform will flow naturally inside the ecosystem.

From the founder

From the founder

I built Udok because I am a doctor before I am a founder. I know what the admin costs in time, in attention, and in the quality of the medicine. I know what good general practice looks like, and I know how far from it the system has drifted. Udok exists to give practices the tools to practice good medicine, more of the time, for more of their patients. That is the work. Everything else is built around it.

Questions practices commonly ask.

How long does it take to get a practice live on Udok?

Most practices are operational within two to four days of registration, depending on your availability. The final step requires an in-person demonstration and activation.

Do my patients see the Udok brand?

No. Your practice’s brand leads. Udok runs in the background. Where Udok is referenced at all, it is in select system touchpoints, and that can be configured.

How does the commercial structure work?

Udok charges a per-consult platform fee for virtual consults conducted through the system. The commercial model is structured so that the more your practice grows on the platform, the more economically efficient the partnership becomes. We will walk you through the specifics in a conversation.

Can specialists use Udok?

Yes. Psychologists, paediatricians, dermatologists, and other specialists already use Udok to augment their existing practices. The platform is built to support specialist workflows.

What about POPIA and HPCSA compliance?

Udok is built to meet POPIA and HPCSA requirements. The data handling, consent flows, clinical record management, and consult workflows are designed with regulatory compliance as a foundation, not an afterthought.

What if I want to stop using Udok?

Your data is yours. Practices can exit the platform at any time. We will provide a clean export of your records and patient data, structured for use in another system.

Have a question that is not here? Contact us. We will get back to you within one working day.
