Choose your Udok plan
Start with R699. Your ongoing fee depends on the plan you choose: Freelance or Practice.
Each practitioner pays separately. A practitioner’s monthly or annual Practice subscription covers their own bookings across their linked practices; it does not cover other practitioners in the practice.

R699 every 12 months
Consult Udok Network patients throughout the year, subject to approval and clinical requirements. Freelance has no monthly subscription.
Network pricing and payout terms apply, with weekly payouts. The 5% own-practice service fee does not apply to these consultations.

Run your own practice: manage your own patients, clinical records and billing, and accept bookings through your practice link.
Your initial payment includes your first month of bookings through your practice link, starting from the date your payment is confirmed. After your included month, choose R699/month or R6,990 every 12 months to continue accepting new bookings through your practice link. Annual Practice covers 12 months for the price of 10. Neither option adds a separate Freelance annual fee.
A 5% service fee applies only to consultations managed through your own practice on Udok, with weekly payouts.
Want to do both? Either paid Practice subscription also covers your Freelance annual fee for Udok Network access. You do not pay a separate Freelance fee on top.
Recurring payments require your authorisation at checkout. Your selected Practice subscription starts after the included month. You can turn off annual renewal and keep access until your paid year ends; monthly cancellation requires one calendar month’s notice. No credits or prorating apply. Without a Practice subscription, new bookings through your practice link pause after the included month. Freelance consulting continues with annual fee coverage and the usual eligibility requirements. Confirmed appointments and care already in progress can continue.
All fees include VAT and are per practitioner. Pro, with added clinical AI tools, is coming soon. Practice approval and clinical requirements still apply. Cancel a monthly subscription with one calendar month’s written notice; monthly fees remain payable until cancellation takes effect.

Specialist access.
Specialists already use Udok to augment their existing practices today. As more specialists join, the consumer side will open to specialist discovery and consultation. Specialist referrals from GPs on the platform will flow naturally inside the ecosystem.

From the founder
I built Udok because I am a doctor before I am a founder. I know what the admin costs in time, in attention, and in the quality of the medicine. I know what good general practice looks like, and I know how far from it the system has drifted. Udok exists to give practices the tools to practice good medicine, more of the time, for more of their patients. That is the work. Everything else is built around it.
Advanced prescription signing for your practice.
Practitioners with an activated and connected certificate from an SAAA-accredited provider can sign prescriptions within Udok using Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES), in line with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Medicines and Related Substances Act. Each AES links the prescription to its signer and makes changes after signing detectable.

How long does it take to get a practice live on Udok?
Most practices can be operational within one to two days after registration, depending on AES readiness and how quickly the required onboarding and verification steps can be completed.
Do my patients see the Udok brand?
Your practice brand remains the primary patient-facing brand. Udok provides the technology and infrastructure behind the service. Udok branding may appear in certain system touchpoints where required.
What do I pay to join Udok?
Pay R699 initially, including VAT. If you are not covered by a paid Practice subscription, the Freelance annual fee is payable every 12 months. Your initial payment also includes your first month of bookings through your own practice link, starting from confirmed payment. Approval and clinical requirements still apply.
Do I pay monthly on Freelance?
No. Freelance has no monthly subscription. Pay R699 every 12 months to consult Udok Network patients throughout the year, subject to approval and clinical requirements. The Freelance annual fee only applies when you are not covered by a paid Practice subscription.
What does the Practice plan cost?
The first month of bookings through your practice link is included in your initial payment. After your included month, choose R699/month or R6,990 every 12 months to continue accepting new bookings through your practice link. Annual Practice covers 12 months for the price of 10. Neither option adds a separate Freelance annual fee. A 5% service fee applies only to consultations managed through your own practice on Udok. Can I be on Freelance and Practice at the same time?
Yes. After your initial payment, either paid Practice subscription covers your own-practice use and your Freelance annual fee for Udok Network access. You do not pay the Freelance fee on top. Network participation and clinical requirements still apply.
What happens if I do not take a Practice subscription?
If you do not subscribe to Practice, new bookings through your practice link pause after your included month. You can continue seeing Udok Network patients on Freelance with annual fee coverage, subject to approval and clinical requirements. Confirmed appointments and care already in progress can continue.
Are the fees per practice or per practitioner?

Can specialists use Udok?
Yes. The platform supports both GPs and specialists and can be used for specialist virtual and in-person workflows.
What about POPIA and HPCSA compliance?
Udok’s data handling, consent processes, clinical records and platform workflows are designed to support compliance with POPIA and relevant HPCSA requirements.
Can I cancel my Practice subscription?
Monthly cancellation requires one calendar month’s written notice; monthly fees remain payable until cancellation takes effect. Annual Practice cancellation stops renewal immediately and keeps access until your paid year ends. No credits or prorating apply. For continued Freelance access to Udok Network patients, any remaining paid coverage is used before the R699 Freelance renewal becomes due. Automatic Freelance renewal needs separate authorisation. Approval and clinical requirements still apply. Your practice data remains yours and can be exported.
