Your wallet cannot be topped up manually. Instead, it functions as a space where you can view your full transaction history.
That said, there are several scenarios where funds may appear in your wallet. If you choose Card payment, your wallet credit is applied automatically. If your balance covers the full fee, you can pay entirely from your wallet. If it does not, the balance reduces the amount you pay by card. If you do not wish to have the refund kept in your wallet, but rather have it paid back into your bank account, please ask to speak to a support agent.
When Funds May Be Added or Removed
-
Consultation Cancellation
- If your consultation is cancelled, the consultation fee will be refunded and displayed in your wallet.
-
Credit Adjustment
- In some cases, a credit may be applied to your account.
- This usually happens if you feel you did not receive adequate medical attention or if you lodge a complaint.
- Please note: These cases are always reviewed first, and a decision will then be made to either credit your account or not.
-
Debit Adjustment
-
A debit may be applied in rare circumstances, such as when your consultation was not paid for.
-
Examples include:
- A failed medical aid claim
-
-
Referral Rewards
- If you successfully refer a friend, and they register and complete a consultation, you will be credited R50.00 into your wallet.
- You'll receive R50 for each successful referral.
Key Notes
- Your wallet is not a prepaid balance - it's a history of refunds, credits, debits, and referral rewards.
- You cannot manually load money into your wallet.
- If you pay by Card, wallet credit reduces the amount you pay. Medical Aid payments do not use wallet credit.
