"How do I add my Medical Aid?"

"Add your medical aid details from your profile and verify them to enable medical aid payment where available."

Updated

When adding your medical aid details, you may notice that not all providers are available in the medical aid drop-down list.

Why Isn't My Medical Aid Listed?

  • If your medical aid provider does not appear in the drop-down, it means Udok does not accept that medical aid scheme for consultation claims.
  • Only supported medical aid schemes will appear in the drop-down when you search by typing the provider's name.

Steps to Add Your Medical Aid Details

  1. Go to your Profile and open the Medical Aid section.

  2. Click on the Medical Aid Provider drop-down.

  3. Start typing the name of your medical aid provider:

    • If we accept that scheme, it will appear for selection.
    • If it does not appear, it means the scheme is not supported.
  4. Once you've located your provider, enter your medical aid number.

  5. When asked, select whether you are the principal member of the scheme.

  6. Click Verify.

  7. If the details match, you will see a masked list of members. Confirm the list looks correct and enter the first name of one of the members to complete verification. If the list does not look correct, go back and edit your details or continue without medical aid.

If you are not the principal member, you may be asked to select which dependent you are from the list.

Key Notes

  • You will not be asked for your medical aid plan, only the scheme name.

  • Only the main profile holder can edit medical aid details; dependents are managed from that profile.

  • If your medical aid scheme is not supported, you will need to:

    • Sign up without medical aid, and
    • Pay via card payment for consultations.
