Yes - in order to receive a prescription refill, you are required to complete a consultation with a doctor.
Why a Full Consultation Is Required
- Medical Regulations: By law, doctors can only issue prescriptions after they've assessed your health and confirmed your condition.
- Patient Safety: A consultation ensures that any medication prescribed is safe, appropriate, and up to date for your health needs.
How to Book a Consultation for a Prescription Refill
Option 1: Use the dashboard refill option
- From your Dashboard, look for Refill prescription or Request prescription.
- If you have previous prescriptions, you may be asked to select medications to refill.
- Your selections help pre-populate the consultation intent, so the doctor knows the visit is for a refill.
Option 2: Start a Consultation
- Alternatively, you can simply click "Start a Consultation."
- This initiates a general consultation, during which you can also request a sick note or a prescription refill directly with the doctor.
Key Notes
